P7h55 M Lx Drivers

So damn happy about my video editing rig that I wanted to give something back to the community for helping me get a 100% fully working mac osx machine at 1/5th the price of the real deal. Im currently doing projects on my brand new fully functional Mac OS X 10.6.6 64bit mode. Im running Premiere Pro and After Effects with no glitches so far. So Im gonna share my eperiences so others might also benefit from the same info that helped me.
I have started my hackintosh journey a few months back on my girlfriend's dell mini 10v. Just updated it 2 weeks ago to 10.6.6 with no issues,it was so easy I thought i could do anything.
then I decided to build a powerful desktop for video editing to turn into a business someday. So I built up a dual boot system to run both pro tools on two platforms.the more you know the better right?
I built my computer hardware this way.
Motherboard:Asus P7H55-M
CPU: Intel Core i5 760 Quad core 2,8 GHz
Video card: Geforce GTS 250 1GB DDR3
Hard drive:2 X 500GB
I will skip everything that Ive done wrong and just go on to everything I did right to make it work.
1. Alway use the latest tools. This community has it and they placed so much effort into making each update better so most likely than not it will solve all your problems.
1. Booting with iBoot to boot into a retailDVD of OS X 10.6.3 was starightforward easy. No issues there. Booting for the first time with iBoot and seeing that welcome video is the greatest feeling ever.
2. Download the combo update of 10.6.6, and install but dont restart. Get latest copy of multibeast and install stuff specific to your needs. This is where it gets tricky so we will focus here. Things to look out for.
4. Do NOT use Easybeast! Instead download the custom DSDT of this mobo from the database place on desktop and tick 'User DSDT', System Utilities, and important READ UP THE MULTIBEAST PDF FILE TO KNOW THE OTHER APPROPRIATE TWEAKS YOU SHOULD INSTALL. Like in my case the latest RLC8xx kext, for my audio, and tweaks for rebooting and identification of your system as a mac pro, and to boot in 64bit to be able to use all your RAM in excess of 4GB, but more importantly to run 64Bit programs. Also n my case I chose to install the latest test release of chameleon which gave me favorable results.
3. Download Lynx2mac's ethernet driver to activate your LAN, and TonyMac's edited Nvidia drivers (all found in the blog) and install.
4. After installing everything.reboot. if you get stuck on white screen for more than 10mins.somethings wrong and just restart again. If the problem persist, use iBoot to boot and get back in this forums for help. In my case.all of this made my perfect hackintosh.
Thank you x86 Community!!!!!!

P7h55 M Pro

Hi, after many tries I found an optimal configuration for this motherboard, plus other tips useful for everyone, and I want to share my knowledge.
My pc is has an Asus P7H55-Pro motherboard with Core i3 530, an external GraphicsBoard Asus GeForce (EN)9800GT PCI-E 1gb, and 6(3x2)GB of DDR3 RAM.
These are the steps I did to get all working:
1. Used iBoot to install Snow Leopard Retail, specified only busratio=22 at boot.
2. Run EasyBeast 10.6.0, reboot. To avoid kp, I don't know why, but needed all this options at boot: arch=i386 cpus=1 maxmem=4096 busratio=22.
The Graphics Card was working in Framebuffer mode, only 1024x768, no QE/CI, no Preview,Grab, etc. Sound card worked with VoodooHDA.
3. Installed NVEnabler, VoodooHDA, removed GraphicsEnabler=Yes, rebooted, and the card was working with QE/CI and all resolutions!
4. Updated to 10.6.2 (or 10.6.3, same behaviour), run EasyBeast 10.6.2 unsupported, corrected options in com.apple.boot.plist, reboot. The graphics card was not recognized anymore! Only a blue screen. Used iBoot again, removed NVEnabler and tried all combinations with GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, the max I got was 1024x768, NO QE/CI!
5. Then I reinstalled EasyBeast 10.6.0, NVEnabler, and got QE/CI back. So the problem is EasyBeast 10.6.2unsup, and/or the kernel.
@Tonymac: what specific kernel does it install? Does it install kext/patches other than those mentioned in the description? (i.e. System.kext)
6. Then I wanted to try another kernel. I installed blackknight 10.6.2 patched for AMD. The system was working, full QE/CI again! The only problem is max 4gb of ram.
7. This is for all: after many tryes and readings, I found the -force64 option, specific for this patched kernel, removed arch=i386 and maxmem=4096, and now my system recognize 6gb of ram! Moreover, it does not need cpus=1 anymore, so the 2 cores are also recognized. Finally. insert only -force64 busratio=22 in com.apple.boot.plist.
